This chic couple from London hosted a Kiawah Island wedding weekend planned to perfection by Bellafare. The bride’s family has a home on the Island and has been visiting for many years so when Gordon proposed hosting the weekend at a Kiawah Island wedding venue was another easy YES! The original wedding date was supposed to happen fall of 2020, but due to Covid and travel bans for their guests coming in from across the globe, they had to postpone until everyone could travel in to celebrate- and oh what a celebration it was! The weekend activities kicked off with a spa day and bridal brunch for the ladies and a round of golf for the guys. They opted for a unique and intimate rehearsal dinner at Cassique followed by a welcome party for all at the Cassique Clubhouse. The wedding ceremony took place outside of River Course overlooking the Kiawah River. They chose a tented reception for cocktail hour and dancing. The next morning guests were treated to a farewell brunch and a leisure day of activities on Kiawah island.
The wedding weekend design leaned towards elevated, clean, and classic looks – with nods to the couple’s life in the UK together. Kristin of Bellafare created a space that was warm and inviting, while also being fresh and unique. For the ceremony space, she kept the focal point on the floral setting and the large oak tree in the background. Guests were invited to enjoy cocktail hour overlooking the sunset on the Kiawah River before joining everyone inside for a seated dinner in the ballroom-filled florals greenery by Katelynn Pinner Florals and a custom fireplace mantle install by Loluma Charleston.
