What is more meaningful and personal than hosting your wedding day at your home? Our bride Lauren grew up spending her summers here at her family’s home on Debordieu Colony Club in Georgetown, South Carolina and she always dreamed of one day being wed there on the beach. Lindsey of Host and Haven designed a venue from scratch and created the perfect backyard soiree to Lauren’s childhood home. With Lindsey’s impeccable eye for design, she effortlessly meshed the couple’s California coastal style with a touch of traditional east coast elegance and the final product was an incredible experience for all their guests. You can’t tell from looking at the photos, but it rained all day long. Around the time of the ceremony, the rain stopped for 20 minutes and Lauren was able to have the beach wedding she had been dreaming of since she was 7 years old. Complete with a surprise appearance of their favorite singer Baaba Maal flown in straight from South Africa as a wedding gift from Lauren’s parents. The couple danced the night away with their friends and family, followed by a bubble exit and a getaway exit on the family boat. Thank you, Lauren and Gabe, for having us there to capture the beauty and love that surrounded you on your special weekend!
