Is there anything more beautiful than a weekend spent surrounded by your friends and family in a beautiful location? All of our discerning Montage Palmetto Bluff wedding clients think not! Set on the beautiful May River, Montage Palmetto Bluff allows your guests to check in for a weekend full of events and fine dining and never even have to leave the property. This is exactly why busy NYC couple, Mariana and Nicholas, chose a Palmetto Bluff wedding.
From the planner and designer, Kristen of Bella Fare:
“Having been born and raised in New York but chosen a low country venue near and dear to their heart, we wanted the design to feel modern and chic, much like the couple’s own personal style, yet fitting to the landscape. Mariana and Nick hoped their welcome dinner would feel like an intimate gathering, reminiscent of parties their families often host at Nick’s country house in Upstate New York. Working with a neutral palette of mostly whites and greens with touches of soft blue, we incorporated a balance of contemporary furnishings, flatware, and glassware alongside natural seaside elements like woven baskets, sea glass, and moss. The bride’s aunt created a custom invitation suite with the help of Bespoke Designs that set the tone for an elegant, lush, spring wedding. Katelyn Pinner wrapped the sailcloth tent poles in greenery and framed the head table with more greens amongst the rattan chandeliers we rented to create a clean yet impactful design. We kept the linens crisp and monochromatic in a light gray and added white linen runners for the head farm tables placed in the center of the tent. Guests dined amongst a warm glow of candles and lighting before heading into the Oak Ballroom for a full-on dance party complete with a canopy of string lights, flowing specialty cocktails, and late-night Brazilian desserts.”
From our bride, Mariana:
“Montage Palmetto Bluff has long been my family’s happy place. We’ve been traveling there for many years and, despite being born and raised in NY, there is something about the Lowcountry that feels like home. I knew immediately that this was the place for us to host our destination wedding weekend!
While hard to pick one favorite memory from the wedding, the intimate ceremony on the chapel lawn overlooking the May River embodied the sheer happiness and love that radiated throughout the entire weekend. Our close family friend officiated the wedding and we wrote our own vows which allowed us to tell our story and add a genuine and deeply personal element to the day. Sharing that with our family and friends – including my relatives from Brazil who hadn’t all been together in 19 years! – was beyond special. I’d also be remiss not to give a shout-out to the weather gods who gifted us a perfect 75 and sunny.”
